Target Groups: Multi-generational Social Action Program
By rotating where donations are directed, one's contribution to the tzedakah box can serve a variety of efforts. For instance, contributions for the month of February at Temple Sholom went to Keshet, an organization of parents with disabled children that provides a variety of Jewish educational and support services. Temple Sholom's contributions for the month of March will support the Union of Councils on Soviet Jewry's Yad L' Yad program. The Yad L' Yad program links American synagogues with a Jewish community in the Former Soviet Union. Temple Sholom is supporting the town of Vladikavkaz and its fledgling Sunday School.
