Advocacy Tool #2: Social Media

Social media is a crucial tool used by advocates and legislators to raise awareness on key social justice issues. It has the potential to reach thousands of people in a short period of time, and your impact can be amplified when others share your message.

  • Tweet your message or post on Facebook. Check out the sample tweets and posts below for ideas on how to share your message.
  • Tag your member of Congress to increase the impact of your tweet or Facebook post. You can find Representatives' social media account information here and Senators' here.
  • Share! Visit the RAC's Facebook and Twitter pages to share the latest opportunities to take action.
