The Potato Project works to save millions of pounds of potatoes, sweet potatoes, and other products that are wasted in the fields.
Target Groups: Adults, Multi-generational Social Action Program
The Potato Project is run by the Society of St. Andrew which saves millions of pounds of potatoes, sweet potatoes, and other produce that would have been wasted in the fields. Since the food is donated by different farmers and companies, the Potato Project only needs to pay for transportation which is approximately five cents per pound. They would be happy to help you organize a local project or to gain materials for their project.
