Goals:

  • To provide an action plan for that correlates to the meaning of the Passover holiday. "This is the bread of poverty, which our ancestors ate in the land of Egypt. Let all who are hungry enter and eat, all who are in need come and celebrate Passover."

Overview:
An easy way to help the hungry and homeless is to donate to MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger. It is traditional for many families to donate enough to pay for one more guest at their homes. By inviting one who is hungry to "enter and eat" at our seder table, through a contribution to MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, we can productively confront hunger.

  • Include a contribution to MAZON as part of the cost of your congregation’s seder.
  • Make a contribution in honor of your family to MAZON. Mention this contribution as part of your family’s seder.
  • Encourage attendees at your family’s seder table to make a contribution to MAZON.
