RAC-NJ celebrates that immigrant protections have been enacted into law even as we call on Governor Sherill and the Legislature to continue the work of providing meaningful harm reduction to the 1 in 4 New Jerseyans who are foreign-born.

As Jewish clergy serving communities across New Jersey, we write in strong support of a new three-bill immigrant protection package introduced into the New Jersey General Assembly on January 2, 2026.

New Jersey is one of two states that will elect a governor this November (Virginia is the other). Because New Jersey’s statewide elections occur in odd years, Every Voice, Every Vote campaigns have been a perennial part of RAC‑NJ since its inception.
