Every two years, the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (RAC) hosts the Rabbi Balfour Brickner Fellowship for rabbis and cantors who are looking to bring social justice closer to the center of congregational life.
Congregations are at the forefront of the Reform Movement's social action work, from direct service to local advocacy. With the help of our clergy and congregations, the work of the Religious Action Center has been able to grow and make a positive impact in communities around North America.
We want to empower you to get involved and grow your leadership skills! The RAC hosts a wide variety of programs, conferences and events focusing on social justice, direct service, or legislative and policy action. From high school students to rabbis, you can find something for everyone here!
The Balfour Brickner Clergy Fellowship is designed to help Rabbis and Cantors bring social justice closer to the center of congregational life. Fellows will gain foundational learning and skills to become effective social justice leaders. Complimenting ongoing learning, fellows participate in facilitated small cohorts. These groups will reflect and engage in peer-to-peer learning to support the progress of their social justice work and objectives.
