Central Synagogue in New York City formed a partnership with PS 84, a public school with primarily Hispanic children of single parents who work full time. After assesing the needs of the school with the help of school administrators, congregants helped create a lending library, established tutoring and enrichment programs, created a Parents Association and cultivated a mentor relationship between the congregation's older students and the students of PS 84.
