Reform Movement Welcomes House Resolution Condemning Anti-Semitism

WASHINGTON – In response to the introduction of a resolution in the House of Representatives condemning anti-Semitism, Rabbi Jonah Dov Pesner, Director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, issued the following statement on behalf of the Union for Reform Judaism, the Central Conference of American Rabbis, and the wider Reform Movement institutions:

"We welcome the House’s strong new resolution condemning anti-Semitism and encourage its passage. With acts of hatred and rhetoric against Jews and Jewish community institutions rising, we must reject this virulent kind of hate, no matter the source. Now is the time to combat anti-Semitism by strengthening relationships and acting together in deep solidarity across lines of difference to fight bigotry in all forms including Islamophobia and racism."
