Press Release from the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism

Washington, D.C., February 13, 2016 – In response to the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, Rabbi Jonah Pesner, Director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, issued this statement:

We offer our deepest condolences to the family of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Few individuals have had a more profound impact on the Court and the nation. Throughout his nearly 30 years on the Supreme Court, and earlier as an appeals court judge, Justice Scalia demonstrated rigorous intellect and made clear his commitment to public service. Though we often disagreed with his interpretation of the law and judicial philosophy, his dedication to service was unquestionable and admirable. May his family find comfort at this this time and may his memory be for a blessing.
