Goals:

  • Help Ethiopian Jews survive in Ethiopia.
  • Assist Ethiopian Jews in making aliyah.
  • Aid Ethiopian Jews’ absorption into Israeli society.
  • Preserve the unique and ancient culture of Ethiopian Jews.

Overview:

The North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry supports Ethiopian Jews in both Ethiopia and Israel. Assist NACOEJ in their projects, or create a project of your own.

NACOEJ’s projects include:

  • Limudiah: After school programs to assist Ethiopian-Israeli children in academic endeavors.
  • Bar/Bat Mitzvah Twinning Program: Provide a bar/bat mitzvah gift and educational funding to Ethiopian-Israeli children.
  • Edward G. Victor High School Sponsorship Program: Help Ethiopian-Israeli high school students pay for school supplies.
  • Vidal Sassoon Adopt-a-Student Program: Help Ethiopian-Israeli college students to cover expenses for school essentials.
  • Food and Educational Programs in Gondar, Ethiopia.
