Many games are available online or through book stores. Crossword puzzles, sudoku, playing challenging board games, and spelling bees are ways to working toward and maintaining a healthy brain. Temples can organize "brain gyms" once or week or month and set up games and activities for the elderly and whomever else would like to come and play the games. If there are computers available set up computer games as well. It will give people a chance to come together and get brain healthy together and maybe they will make new friends!
