October 13, 2015Rachel Landman

What: People’s Climate Movement (PCM) is organizing pop up events across the country mobilize activists to call on U.S. and global leaders to take bold action on climate change and clean energy. PCM is building off the success of the People’s Climate March in September 2014, the largest action in climate history, which gathered thousands of people in New York City to signal the need for United States action to stop climate change.

When: Wednesday, October 14

Where: 175 events across the United States! Find your local mobilization here.

Why: With the upcoming UN climate meeting in Paris we must encourage world leaders to create strong agreements to mitigate climate change. Jewish tradition teaches that if we destroy the earth there will be no one to repair it (Midrash Ecclesiastes Rabbah) and therefore, we must call on our leaders to take action so we can protect the planet and all of its inhabitants.
