Welcome to the 2014-2015 Class of Eisendrath Legislative Assistants

We are thrilled to welcome (L-R in the picture) Rachel, Jordan, Liya, Melanie, Claire and Jonathan to the Religious Action Center on their first day as the new Eisendrath Legislative Assistants. Over the next two weeks, the LAs will learn about the RAC, the Reform Movement, and how we do our social justice work within the larger community of advocates in Washington, D.C. This class is as bright, thoughful, and committed to tikkun olam as ever, and we can't wait to see the work they will accomplish in their year with us!

Here is a brief introduction to the 2014-2015 LA class, with more to come!

Rachel Chung is from Wyckoff, NJ, and attended Washington University in St Louis. She is a member of Barnert Temple.

Jordan Dashow from Plainview, NY graduated from Tufts University. He is a member of Manetto Hill Jewish Center.

Jonathan Edelman hails from Jacksonville, FL, where he is a member of Congregation Ahavath Chesed. Jonathan went to University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Melanie Fineman is originally from Newton, MA, and attended Brown University. She is a member of Temple Shalom.

Liya Rechtman comes to us from Brooklyn, NY, where she is a member of Brooklyn Heights Synagogue. Liya graduated from Amherst College.

Claire Shimberg, from Tampa, FL, attended University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek.
