Max Weidhorn (he/him) is from Livingston, New Jersey, where he is a member of Temple B'nai Jeshurun. He is a rising sophomore at Emory University, pursuing BAs in International Affairs and Middle Eastern studies. As a legislative intern, Max is excited to dive into social justice, LGBTQ+, and reproductive rights advocacy.
In June, the Supreme Court released a decision in 303 Creative, Inc. v. Elenis expanding the right of businesses to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people.
On July 26th, we will celebrate the 33rd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in employment, transportation, public accommodations, communications, access to state and local government programs and services, and more.
