Kathryn Fleisher

Kathryn Fleisher of Beth Israel - The West Temple in Cleveland, OH, just completed her term as NFTY's North American president and is now attending the University of Pittsburgh, where she is majoring in politics and philosophy and gender, sexuality, and women’s studies. Kathryn has been active member and leader of the Reform Jewish youth movement for many years, beginning her NFTY journey while in eighth grade and becomingactive in social justice work through her temple. She is also a proud alumna of many Union for Reform Judaism programs, including URJ Kutz CampURJ Goldman Union Camp Institute, and the URJ Biennial. Kathryn has always found a home within the Jewish community.

Kathryn and I began our social justice journeys with the URJ. We grew up in NFTY and attended URJ summer camps, we served on the NFTY North American Board, and we currently sit on the Commission on Social Action.
