NFTY Mitzvah Corps Social action, friends, expanded horizons, and fun are all part of the Mitzvah Corps experience! Mitzvah Corps combines direct hands-on involvement in communities that need energy, dedication and love that YOU can provide, with learning focused on Jewish social and ethical issues. For summer 2009, we are pleased to offer the following Mitzvah Corps locations: Costa Rica, Israel, New Jersey, New Orleans, New York City, San Francisco and URJ Kutz Camp. Mitzvah Corps programs are open for high school students entering 10-12th grade. With Mitzvah Corps, Jewish teens experience social action at its best.
The URJ Kutz Campus for Reform Jewish Teen Life in Warwick, New York offers incoming high school students the opportunity to spend 4 weeks learning about social action, advocacy and leadership, focusing on the pertinent issues of the day. Students will learn how to make their voices and opinions heard through lessons on organizing and governmental lobbying. Interested students are encourage to apply for the Heller Social Action Scholarship to Kutz Camp.
