Position of the Reform Movement on Human Trafficking

A 1978 Union of American Hebrew Congregation resolution details that Reform Judaism has a profound commitment to the principle of equality of opportunity for all persons. The Commission on Social Action of Reform Judaism passed a resolution entitled "Human Trafficking," at its April 2000 meeting which resolves to: "Urge all governments to provide protection for the victims of trafficking, to work to prevent trafficking and to prosecute those organizations and people responsible for the trafficking industry."
