Congregational Tools

Congregations are at the forefront of the Reform Movement's social action work, from direct service to local advocacy. At this portal, you can find tools, programming ideas, resources, and funds for multiple aspects of social action work geared towards congregations and local communities.

Join us in the Tent, the Reform Movement's social media platform for leaders to communicate, collaborate and share resources.

Congregational Tools

Looking for a way to integrate social justice themes into your worship services or congregational mission? Our rabbinic resources include sermon starters and sample prayers and speeches on a variety of social justice topics.

These publications are useful tools for congregational lay leaders, clergy, educators, and other staff managing social action programming and socially responsible practices.

The Irving J. Fain Awards, awarded every other year, honor exemplary social justice projects in URJ congregations.

The RAC is covering tuition for up to 20 Reform congregations to enroll in the GreenFaith Energy Shield Program, which will guide congregations to become leaders in sustainable practices and spiritual approaches to environmental values. Enroll today!

The RAC partners with Nothing But Nets and the United Nations Foundation to raise awareness and funds in the fight against malaria.

Learn about social action opportunities for teens, from summer camp to L'Taken Seminars, and see resources from NFTY Convention's social justice programming.

These tools — including text studies, activities, and more — will help you incorporate social justice themes into your holiday celebrations, from Tu BiSh'vat to Hanukkah.

For more information on this program, contact Cara Fisher, the RAC's Director of Congregational Leadership Development, at (202) 387-2800.
