Israel Religious Action Center

The Israel Religious Action Center is the public and legal advocacy arm of the Reform Movement in Israel (known as the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism).

IRAC was founded in 1987 with the goals of advancing pluralism in Israeli society and of protecting and defending the human rights of all Israeli citizens, especially those rights having to do with freedoms of conscience, faith, and religion.

In its 18-year history IRAC has worked on many different social fronts, including: our network of legal-aid centers, our public policy and legal work, our publications, and our membership in various coalitions for social change in Israel.
