Katie Dochen, Conference Planner at the Religious Action Center, is responsible for the planning and logistics of the RAC's various conferences, meetings, and events. Katie is a native of Austin, Texas and joined the RAC staff in June 2007.
Previously Katie served as Development Assistant of Communities In Schools - Central Texas, Inc. (CIS), a dropout prevention agency serving more than 40,000 students. Her responsibilities included event planning and fundraising support. Katie's association with CIS originated during her year of volunteer government service with AmeriCorps, where she provided tutoring, mentoring, and support services to at-risk students.
Katie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Showing her allegiance to post-Katrina New Orleans and her beloved Alma Mater, Katie served on the national board of the Tulane Alumni Association as president of the Austin, Texas chapter. In addition, Katie was Advisor for the youth group at Temple Beth Israel (Austin, TX), where she also served as president during high school. Katie spent 13 wonderful summers at the URJ Greene Family Camp (Bruceville, TX) as camper, counselor, and staff member.
