Reform Jewish Movement Welcomes the Introduction of the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2005
In response to today’s introduction of the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2005, Rabbi David Saperstein, Director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, issued the following statement noting, "Across the United States, families who are supported by minimum wage workers are unable to make ends meet. This is shameful. Jobs in the twenty-first century should be a portal to self-sufficiency."
