Celebrate Shabbat Noah
Mark your calendar: October 8-9, 2010 is Shabbat Noah when Jews around the world read the Torah portion about the Flood, Noah, the Ark, and the Rainbow. This year, Reform synagogues across North America will celebrate an environmental Shabbat in response to the Gulf oil spill crisis and our ongoing climate and energy challenges, and we hope your community will join this Movement-wide effort.

October 8-9 is Shabbat Noah, when we read the Torah portion about the Noah, the Ark, the Rainbow and the Covenant. This year, Reform synagogues across North America will join a Jewish-community wide initiative as we celebrate an environmental Shabbat in response to the Gulf oil spill crisis, the recent flooding in Pakistan, and our ongoing energy challenges. We hope your community will commemorate Shabbat Noah and let us know what you are doing to become more environmentally sustainable.
